15 months going on 2 years old

Sammy is now 15 months old and officially a toddler - This comes with mini fits, stomping of her feet, throwing things and occasionally hitting. YIKES!! She moved up to the toddler room at daycare about a month ago and within the first few days she came home doing all of the things above. She is stubborn - yes I know she gets this from me - and she believes that she can do anything she sees. When she can't do something she gets upset...I mean REALLY upset!! We try to tell that it's ok and help her but she is little miss independent. Everything is a stage right?!?!

On a positive note, we had an appointment with the pediatric allergist awhile back and did some skin testing for foods, mold, pets, etc. All of the tests came back negative which was great!! She did react to everything but not as they would expect if it were a true allergy. It just means that she is a very sensitive babe which we already knew since she is constantly a rash ball. The doc gave us the go ahead to start adding foods back into her diet which so far as gone pretty well. Valentine's Day was the first day that she went totally on daycare food. She came home that night pretty rashy but it's tough to tell if that is from the food, the dry winter aid or her drool since she is teething again. The doc told us that we would likely still see some rashes with new foods but it was ok as long as she didn't have the other allergy symptoms. It will be interesting to see how she likes all of this new food. She's gotten so used to having the same few things and all of these new textures aren't going over so well. We have seen a lot of her food go overboard (yes she throws it) off her tray. Hopefully she doesn't do that at school!

She is talking like crazy!! She is a little repeat parrot and typically says either the last word or the major word of the sentence every time you talk to her. It's pretty cute. She's still loves Tooter and has taken to tackling him from behind when he's not looking. I'm not so sure Tooter enjoys her. Whistle (Tooter's mom) is staying with us right now and she has decided hiding on the side of the couch where neither Tooter or Sam can get her is probably her best bet. One of Sam's favorite books is "Big Dog Little Dog" so we have been calling the cats Big Kitty and Little Kitty. She loves it! She must say goodnight to both of them before bed.

Sam is running everywhere now and loves to "kime" (climb). She enjoys putting on bracelets, having a bow in her hair only to rip it out, putting on pretend lipstick and carrying her little purse filled with cards. Although she's a tough little one, she is also quite girly. She is really into "cowwers" right now but the crayons often end up in her mouth ending the "cowwering" session. She loves cheese and "cackers" as well as "coo-coos" (vanilla waffers). The potty has become a new favorite past time. "Paa-ee" and she pulls at the back of her diaper. So we go in and sit on her little potty for about 7 seconds. She asks for paper and then looks directly at me and put it in her mouth. STINKER!!!!!!!!!!! After about the 8th "paa-eee" visit we just sit on the toliet with our diaper on. The paper game happens every time. :)

At this 15 month check up she weighed 20 pounds 4 ounces (20th percentile) and was 30 inches (50th percentile). We definitely noticed she was taller because she is able to get to a lot of the things that were hidden before.
