Sam's First Thanksgiving

Kyle, Sam and I had a nice quiet Thanksgiving in Eagan with our new little family this year. Kyle smoked a fantastic turkey breast and Sam took a nap that lasted right up until I finished my last bite. We watched the Packer game and took a Thanksgiving nap together. All in all it was a great day. We are so thankful for our new family!

Today Sam is 2 weeks old and she had her first doctor appointment. Everything checked out well. She was 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth and now weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces so she's definitely not hurting in the eating department. As long as we are able to keep the germs out of the house (I am officially the germ police) she doesn't have to go back until her 2 month check up.

Sam also got to meet some new friends. Larry, Lynn and Grant stopped over and got some good snuggle time with Sam. Although Larry was against the idea, we woke Sam up so that she could really play her new friends. Nate and Sarah Johnson also came over to meet Sam. She definitely knew Nate's voice from all the Packer games. :) We're looking forward to some more visitors tomorrow!
